Class Responsibility Agreement Participation in yoga includes, but is not limited to, participation in meditation techniques (dhyana), yogic breathing techniques (pranayama), and various yoga postures (asanas). Yoga is an exercise of the entire body - body, mind and spirit - stretching and toning the muscles and joints, the spine and the entire skeletal system. Yoga also works on the internal organs, glands and nerves. Yoga incorporates sustained stretching to strengthen muscles and increase flexibility. Yoga is an individual experience. I understand that in Yoga Class, I will progress at my own pace. If at any point I feel overexertion, fatigue or uncomfortable, I will respect my body’s limitations and I will rest or discontinue yoga practice. I understand that yoga classes may include receiving adjustments from the yoga teacher to assist me in some of the postures and I give my permission for the teacher to do so. I acknowledge that participation in yoga classes exposes me to a possible risk of personal injury and I take that responsibility. I am physically fit to participate in yoga and a medical doctor and/or health professional has verified that I am in good physical condition for participation in this type of yoga class. Please agree to the waiver agreement before attending yoga class. WITH GRATITUDE
