Yogarama Founder
Daniella Goldberg PhD
Daniella Goldberg PhD is the founder of Yogarama and has been practising yoga since the of age 5 years and teaching yoga and meditation at Wylie's Baths yoga shala for many years. A shared vision is to build a community of like-minded yoga teachers and students that are inspired by practising yoga and mindful meditation in nature.
Read Daniella's personal story (my dance with yoga).
Daniella trained to be a yoga teacher after a potentially life-threatening illness, mostly caused by too much stress. She nurtured herself back to health, supported by yoga and meditation, and has been on a journey to empower more people to discover yoga and meditation to help reduce stress, bring back balance and health whilst having a bit of fun. Sharing yoga, meditation and the wisdom of this 2000 years old tradition, she hopes to inspire people to live more mindfully in the moment, in tune with the harmony of nature.
The sunrise yoga experience was the first class Daniella taught at Wylie's baths and it is not like any other.
Since then she teaches yoga only at Wylie's yoga shala, as she believes it is the most beautiful place in the world to practice yoga and meditation. Surrounded by the ocean and nestled in the bushy cliffs of Coogee, her philosophy is to practice yoga in tune with the cycles of nature. From summer through to winter, giving gratitude from sunrise to sunset and honouring the moon cycles - from the full to the new moon and again.
Everyone is welcome to trial a free class of yoga and mindful meditation and to join our monthly wellness day retreats workshops and corporate classes, tailored to all levels of yoga.
Daniella has extensive 500+ hours of yoga teacher training and incorporates a blend of yoga styles in her hatha flow and mindful meditation class. She is a member of the International Yoga Teachers Association (IYTA). She is also a qualified medical scientist with a Doctorate of Philosophy in Medicine, working as a healthcare communications specialist.

Caroline Bakerman
Caroline's first ever contact with yoga started in 1990 with a breathing exercise during which she nearly fainted. In spite of this rather abrupt beginning, she noticed a never before sense of calm pervading her entire self, a sensation she had never experienced before. Her regular practice started after the birth of her second daughter, and she realised yoga was the glue that kept her together and transformed her into a calmer and more compassionate mom, daughter, spouse, and friend. She then decided it was time to take her practice to the next level.
Caroline studied with Amy Pastore, Idit Hefer Tamir, Donna Farhi, did her prenatal and post natal course with Katie Manitstas, and is currently undertaking a yoga therapy course. Her classes encourage her students to become aware of their thought and movement patterns to initiate transformation of body and mind.
Caroline loves practicing and playing with her younger daughter, and is a firm believer that "we don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing". (George Bernard Shaw)

Aggie Badtke
Aggi was first drawn to yoga in 2012 when she moved countries to Australia. Being very homesick she was seeking emotional and physical relief.
She found yoga classes were helpful however it was only after attending her first silent meditation retreat that she discovered the sensation of deep peace and all-encompassing spaciousness.
Aggi loved how the practice was benefiting her physical and mental wellbeing, so following a deep desire to positively impact others, she completed a yoga teacher training with Nicole Walsh from InYoga. She continued to study with other teachers such as Simon Borg Oliver, Shiva Rea, and is currently a yin and restorative yoga training with Yoga Therapy Education. She has also attended many courses in mindfulness and meditation including courses led Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach’s.
Aggi's yoga classes combine breath awareness, mindfulness of body sensations and touch of philosophy with energising flow sequences to strengthen the whole body and balance the mind. She encourages students to make their yoga practice a process of self-inquiry and awareness, to hopefully reveal a more accepting and relaxed way of being.

Simone Lai
Sim’s first memories of yoga are being “babysat” by swamis at the local Ashram and going to classes her mother taught during school holidays. Over the last 16 years Sim has found Tapas in the form of consistently returning to the matt, her way to find peace, serenity and balance inspired by “Do your practice and all is coming” from Sri†K. Pattabhi†Jois
“Each class and each teacher has brought something that helped me fill my toolbox of skills either physically or spiritually. I believe you learn so much about yourself on the mat that you can take out into the world and that beneath the mind chatter and despite yourself, there is a natural rhythm that connects us to self and community.”
Sim’s teacher training at Sukha Mukha yoga under Idit Tamir and Katie Manitis reaffirmed to her to be committed yet unattached, to have fun in her asana practice, to not sweat the small stuff and to acknowledge the balance of sthira (strength) and sukha (sweetness) always. She has completed study under Donna Farhi and Jasmin Tarkeshe and is currently undertaking her 350 hour training
Sim hopes to help students stock up on their own skills for self realisation through a mindful, lighthearted, alignment focused and sometimes challenging practice drawing from her own experiences and love of yoga in it’s many forms.

Felicia Robey
Felicia was first introduced to yoga over 20 years through meditation to help deal with trauma. Like most she took on only the practice of asana – trying different yoga styles including Hatha then Power yoga to fit in with her "over active, fast paced" life. After more than 10 years of pushing herself in the fashion industry without rest or connection she broke down.
Felicia was chronically ill and experienced depression and anxiety. It was meditation and yoga along with studying holistic nutrition that empowered her to heal. Today, healthy and grateful, she is studying natural therapies, Ayurveda (yoga’s sister science) and practices yoga regularly. She has a huge passion to helping others heal and find their own paths.
Felicia has +500hr of Yoga training and has studied with Sukha Mukha, Dharmashala, Jasmine Tarkeshe and Don Peers. She has completed studies in Nutrition, Ayurvedic medicine with Dr Shaun Matthews, Reiki, Herbal Medicine, Aromatherapy & Indigenous Medicine & Healing.
Felicia’ s style is deep and flowing, connecting with the seasons, the moons and natural rhythms with the goal to connection and find balance. Her classes have a theme, reading with meditation, Pranayama, a mudra, challenging and fun poses and is restorative with reiki in savsana.

From a love of movement, to a curiosity in philosophy, and now to sharing the practice with others as a yoga teacher, Ange's practice has grown and evolved for more than 10 years.
Her yoga practice and philosophy inform her life off the mat just as much as it does on the mat. A self-confessed traditionalist, she is a firm believer in the science and intelligence of the yoga system, holding the practice in the highest regard.
Every class, Ange seeks to pay ultimate respect to the ancient tradition. She believes deeply in the power of a complete practice of asana, pranayama and meditation, using these tools to achieve energetic outcomes physically, mentally and spiritually, and loves sharing the rich and diverse practices of the tradition with her students.
Ange has been guided through her teaching journey by Duncan Peak, Noelle Connolly, Shiva Rea, Sarah Owens. More recently has been strongly influenced by the teachings of Traditional Tantric Hatha and Ayurveda. Her thirst for knowledge and endless curiosity means she will always to be a student to the practice.

Joao Da Costa
Joao’s Yogic journey started in 2008, where he found a new approach to living through his Asana practice and Kirtans. “Yoga came into my life as a way to prepare my body for other activities, from improving my surfing and climbing skills to increasing my flexibility and focus.”
Since then Joao has practiced a range of styles of Yoga: Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Power Yoga, Iyengar, Yin and others. He studied with renowned Yoga teachers: Duncan Peak - Power Living, Simon Borg Olivier - Synergy Yoga, Michael Laxmivan - Krishna Village, Idit Hefer Tamir & Maryanne Edwards - Sukha Mukha, Simon Park - Liquid Flow. “All my teachers have taught me something special which I now have the honour to pass on to my students one class at a time.”
“I believe the Yogic path lies beyond the Asana practice. Postures are simply a medium to help us in our journey. Yoga starts with our actions and self-discipline, our postures help us calm the mind and prepare our body so we can learn how to breath. Through focusing on our breath we reach a state of withdrawal of our senses, which allows us to develop a new level of concentration and focus. Only then we can sit comfortably and meditate so we can connect, connect with the Divinity which resides within each and every single one of us.”
Joao’s classes are fun, challenging and hands on assisting, helping practitioners with posture alignment and to deepen their practice.
“Yoga is a journey with many paths to tread. One breath at a time.” Read more about Joao here
